Group Activities
The JMT Mercy Care provides both worker-facilitated and self-directed capacity development activities while encouraging participants to take part in group-based communal, social, and recreational activities. The aims and interests of participants provide the basis for all activities.
- The development of life skills, such as those related to cooking, gardening, personal care, and domestic duties.
- Improved health and wellness, such as through group exercise programs, yoga, walks, and swimming.
- A few examples of literacy and numeracy programmes that are adapted to a student’s learning style include classes on budgeting, handling money, and reading and writing.
- Recreational activities include picnics, ten-pin bowling, music, dancing, and arts & crafts.
